SA6 will be hosting the L105 PIO class September 23, 24 and 25.

At Black Hawk County EMA,1925 Newell St,, Waterloo Iowa.

Below is the information to get registered please send me an email with name and email that are registering and I will send out a Calander invite. But to get your certificate you must complete the below registration process. Please share with your partners. Materials for the class will come electronically.

They will need to have their SID number and a copy of there IS 29a ( prerequisite ). The Invitation Code is IA105.

There is a section that says Supervisor that is authorizing the training if they don’t have a supervisor or anyone to put they can put Steve Warren in there steve.warren@iowa.gov.

MGT 416: Introduction to Continuity of Government Planning for Rural Jurisdictions

FEMA S.I.D. REQUIRED.

MGT 416 is an 8-hour, DHS/FEMA-certified, tuition-free, planning
and management-level course. This course is designed to help
governmental officials and emergency responders in rural areas
with the development of continuity plans that will help officials
ensure essential governmental services remain functional across a
spectrum of emergencies. This course will expose participants to
the benefits of developing continuity of government plans for rural
communities with special focus on succession planning, delegation
of authority, redundant communications, and alternate facilities.

MGT 456 Integration of Cybersecurity Personnel into the EOC for Cyber Incidents

Course Description:This scenario-based course will guide emergency response organizations and critical infrastructure IT personnel through multiple simulated events to learn how to coordinate efforts during a cyber incident. These real-time exercises are designed to assist jurisdictions with managing cyber response efforts between traditional emergency responders and IT professionals. The use of expert instructors from IT and emergency response fields will offer participants real-world knowledge to successfully integrate cybersecurity personnel into the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
