Webinar: FEMA National Planning Framework Virtual Roundtable

  • 06/14/2013
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • Webinar: http://ppd8.vjpo.org/FWrollout

FEMA and its partners are hosting a series of virtual roundtables to introduce the National Planning Frameworks. The Frameworks describe how the whole community comes together to deliver the core capabilities necessary to reach our shared National Preparedness Goal.

Whole community means everyone - individuals (including those with disabilities and others with access and functional needs), businesses and nonprofits, faith-based and community groups, schools, and all levels of government.

During these 60-minute events, you will learn how to apply the National Planning Frameworks to build, sustain and deliver the core capabilities. Framework authors will be on hand to provide background information and engage in an interactive dialogue.

To prepare for the virtual roundtable, you may view the online tutorial and download the Frameworks at http://www.fema.gov/national-planning-frameworks.

Registration: Because each virtual roundtable will cover the same information, please choose the session most convenient for you. Advance registration is required due to space limitations. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. To register, please visit http://ppd8.vjpo.org/FWrollout.

Each 60-minute event will provide an overview of the Frameworks and discussions about ways to apply the concepts in your community.

  • Friday, June 14 at 9 a.m. CDT
  • Wednesday, June 19 at 5 p.m. CDT

The agenda will cover topics such as:

  • National Preparedness Goal
  • How the whole community contributes to national preparedness
  • Core capabilities for each Framework
  • Applying the Frameworks to operational planning.

If you require accommodations to participate in these events, please provide details in the Disability Related Accommodations field on the registration page or contact us at PPD8-Engagement@fema.dhs.gov or at 202-646-4001 via telephone, 711, or video relay.

These events are a continuation of our efforts to involve the whole community in the development and use of the Frameworks.
