From Wall Street to Main Street and governments alike, nearly every organization has been victimized by a cyber attack of some form.  These attacks can originate from anywhere around the globe, including within your own organization.  This webinar will discuss cyber threats you should be concerned about and how to protect yourself and your business from becoming a victim. 

Speaker: Jeff Franklin is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the State of Iowa.  In this capacity, Jeff is responsible for oversight of the State's IT security architecture and initiatives including standards and policy, risk assessment and compliance, incident response, awareness training and centralized security operations. 

Jeff has worked in the information technology field for 16 years.  Prior to becoming the CISO for the State of Iowa, Jeff worked for the Department of Natural Resources, the City of Des Moines and private industry.  He serves on the NASCIO Security and Privacy Committee and state technology and security councils.

 

Jeff graduated with honors from Iowa State University with a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems and Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa and an Iowa Certified Public Manager (ICPM) designation from Drake University.  Jeff also holds the Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manger (CISM) security certifications.
