Webinar: Missouri River Basin Outlook

  • 11/18/2011
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • webinar

You are cordially invited to attend the first of a series of regular climate outlook and monitoring Webinars focused on the Missouri River Basin.  La Nina conditions and resulting impacts again are anticipated across the U.S.  Climate outlooks through next spring anticipate greater than normal chances for a colder and wetter pattern to develop in the northern basin.  There is heightened concern about flooding within the Missouri Basin due to the significant damage to infrastructure, ecosystems and other socio-cultural impacts from 2011 flooding.

These Webinars will offer advance outlook information from two weeks to several seasons and possibly beyond.  This information will be useful for planning to federal agencies, tribes, state and local governments, businesses and other organizations with interests in the basin.
