Training: Chemical Sector Explosive Threat Awareness Training

Who should attend: Chemical Facility Security Officers, Chemical Sector Security Professionals, and stakeholders. This workshop provides exposure to essential elements pertaining to the threat of improvised explosive devices (IED's) and vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED's). The objectives benefit security professionals dealing with explosive incidents and the chemical sector's ability to deter, prevent, detect, protect against, and respond to attacks that use IED's. The workshop illustrates baseline awareness, prevention and mission essential actions that reduce vulnerabilities and counter the threat, along with collaborating information sharing resources to improve preparedness.

The workshop will provide the participants with information to:

  • Identify options for consideration
  • CFATS update
  • Improve understanding of each agency's capabilities and limitations
  • Communication, cooperation and collaboration

Registration: Participation is limited due to the seating capability of the venue location and registration will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
