Public-private partnerships have played an important role in Florida's disaster preparedness and recovery efforts. The All Hazards Consortium (AHC) will host a one hour webinar to outline a case study of the grassroots effort in Palm Beach County, Florida, which established a "private sector run" partnership resulting in leveraging of resources, sharing of ideas, and a cohesive working relationship.

The case study will demonstrate how other public agencies and private sector companies can develop a viable program/partnership, and how they can benefit. The webinar will describe how partnerships and collaborative efforts such as these can make critical information available - and more timely helping businesses recover critical functions that support economic stimulation, and helping counties and emergency-related agencies respond more effectively and efficiently.
