Target Audience: This course is designed for state, local, and tribal government emergency program managers, other emergency management staff, and other local government employees responsible for mitigation.

Required Prerequisites: None

Course Description: This 3-day, advanced professional series course focuses on mitigation activities fundamental to reducing and eliminating long-term risk from hazards, creating strategies for disaster-resistant communities, identifying local mitigation opportunities, selecting mitigation solutions to hazard risk problems, and finding resources to carry out mitigation activities in a post-disaster environment.
