Conference: 2014 National Conference on Building Resilience through Public-Private Partnership

  • 10/15/2014
  • 10/16/2014
  • U.S. Chamber of Commerce 1615 H. Street, NW Washington, DC 20062

We are very pleased to announce U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Charles Johnson as the opening keynote speaker on October 15. He will set the stage for plenary discussions on emerging risks and ways to build resilience around these risks at the community and global levels in an interconnected world.

Just a preview of some of the sessions we have lined up:

  • The Interconnected World: Challenges and Opportunities provides a look into developing initiatives to address cross-cutting emerging risks like aging infrastructure to help organizations and communities build resilience.
  • Technology and Corporate Volunteerism in Disasters explores the role of trained, corporate volunteers in supporting states and communities with disaster response and recovery efforts.
  • Driving Mitigation and Resilience looks at lessons learned from major disasters in areas such as small business recovery support, long term coordination between business, government and nonprofits, and building against future risk.

In addition to participating in discussions on a range of important emerging issues, one of the major benefits of taking part in this event is networking with your peers, so be sure to join us at the no-host networking event after the conference on October 15.
